Jollytown Terms of Use

1. Who may use the app

You must be an adult and the parent or legal guardian of any child who uses the app, or have their permission. You are responsible for setting up the app, choosing what Santa knows, and supervising your child's use.

2. Santa is a pretend character

Santa (and Rudolph) are fictional characters for entertainment, not real people, and the app is not a phone service. Their answers are chosen on your device from lines we wrote and personalised with the details you enter; on devices with Apple Intelligence, Apple's on-device model may add a short reaction. Santa may occasionally misunderstand your child or say something unexpected. We write and test Santa's lines so he does not promise specific gifts, does not ask for personal information such as addresses or schools, gently redirects unsuitable topics, and encourages a child who mentions something worrying to talk to a trusted grown-up. But we cannot guarantee every answer. Santa is not a source of medical, safety, legal or other advice. If your child ever seems unsafe, contact local emergency services.

Some features are for grown-ups to create a little Christmas magic: Santa's secrets, the secret helper during calls, Santa's voicemail, drawings and letters sent to Santa, the Nice List scanner and Santa Cam. You decide when and how to use them. Please report anything that concerns you from Grown-ups → Privacy → Report a problem.

3. Acceptable use

Do not use the app to harm anyone, to enter other people's personal information, to use photos of other people without their permission, or to copy, modify or reverse-engineer the app or bypass call-time limits.

4. Purchases and call time

• Every day the family gets 3 minutes of free call time with Santa, counted by the second while a call is connected. Unused free time does not carry over to the next day.
• The Jollytown Season Pass is a one-time purchase that does not renew automatically. Its benefits, including unlimited calls with Santa and no ads, end on 2027-01-06. It can be shared with your family through Apple Family Sharing.
• Prices, minutes and benefits are shown in the app before you buy. Payments, refunds and purchase history are handled by Apple under its terms. To ask for a refund, use reportaproblem.apple.com. A refunded purchase removes what it added.
• Call time is kept on your device. After reinstalling or on a new device, use Restore Purchases with the same Apple Account to bring back the Season Pass. Free daily time and time earned by watching ads cannot be restored.

5. Ads

Free users may see non-personalised ads in the grown-ups area, including optional videos that add 30 seconds of call time (up to 3 times per day). Ads are never shown during calls or on the child's screens. Any purchase removes ads for the period described in the app.

6. Availability and changes

Jollytown is a seasonal app for Christmas and New Year, and features may change. Calls work without an internet connection. If we stop offering the app before 2027-01-06, Apple's refund process remains available to you.

7. Ownership

The app, the Santa character design, voice and content are owned by us or our licensors. Recaps are for your personal, non-commercial use.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is", and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law where you live.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to use the app means you accept the new terms.
